چکیده
In the past, arch represented one of few structural systems which provide a possibility to cover large spans. Nowadays, same importance is presented as need increased with increase construction spans and arched structures are constructed in different shapes from various materials such brick, steel reinforced concrete. The main aim this study was investigate behavior ultimate strength concrete slab under flexural load. parameters considered present investigation are, mix compressive strength, thickness slab, area steel, curvature support conditions. A total fourteen samples tested two-point observed by reading deflection at mid-span observing crack patterns strains top bottom fibers. linear up first cracking load still (35% - 55%) load-deflection curve mid span may be idealized bilinear curve. increasing 116% leads (15% 25%). Increasing 43% (6% -17%). 45% (29% 34%). 200% 28%). Changing simply pin-pin (200% 245%).

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs
The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...
متن کاملStructural Consideration in Design of Reinforced Concrete Slabs with Openings
Over 90% of framed structures in Uganda are built from reinforced concrete. Prior to the 1990’s, most buildings had no openings in slabs, yet in city centers buildings butt against each other with widows at front and back only. This limited retail activities to front rooms of the ground floor and the buildings had to be narrow. A baseline survey of 50 shopping malls in Kampala Central Business ...
متن کاملBehaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs
This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...
متن کاملMechanical Behavior of Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete with Graded Fibers
Brittleness, which was the inherent weakness in High Strength Concrete (HSC), can be avoided by reinforcing the concrete with discontinuous fibers. Reinforcing HSC with more than one fiber is advantageous in an overall improvement of the mechanical performance of the composite. In this experimental study, Hybrid Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete (HyFR-HSC) mixes were formed by blending si...

A large number of reinforced concrete structures subjected to chloride ions. Two basicapproaches for preventing corrosion of reinforcing steel embedded in concrete are: Increasing theconsolidation of concrete and using different coating on rebars. In present research steel rebarsare coated in different ways: a) 40 µm of zinc electroplated on steel rebar b) Zinc powder withepoxy paste (zinc rich...
